Carin Jean White is a theatre and visual artist. She has directed on Broadway for Spiegelworld's EMPIRE; in Prague, her show SECRET LIFE explored the history of the city through allegory, dance, and installation; HAMLET CU3ED, which Carin directed, adapted, and designed, premiered in NYC at Access Theatre, again bridging theater and visual installation; and in Salt Lake City she directed the Utah premiere of NICKLED AND DIMED at the Rose Wagner Theatre for the City's Women’s Week. She has worked with Performance Workshop (Taiwan), California Shakespeare Theatre Company, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music’s Opera Program, and Sundance Theatre Lab amongst others. Carin has regularly shown her paintings in Beacon, NY, and she created visual and sound installations for Artpark in Lewiston, NY and St. John's University in Queens. She holds an MFA in Theatre Directing from Columbia University where she currently teaches in the Writing Program. Carin resides in Cold Spring, NY.
